Yes. We take the quality and purity of our chocolate seriously. Our cacao is carefully sourced and independently tested by third-party laboratories to ensure levels of naturally occurring heavy metals, including cadmium and lead, remain well below EU safety guidelines.

Yes, our full range is approved by The Vegan Society. All our products are entirely plant-based, and made with no animal products.

Yes, our entire production line is dairy-free. We label all our products dairy-free, and regularly test our products at a certified independent laboratory.

Yes, our products are gluten-free. They are produced in a gluten-free facility, and are regularly allergen tested for gluten at a third party independent laboratory.

Raw Halo chocolate is not suitable for people with either a peanut or tree nut allergy. Some of our products contain tree nuts in their ingredients. Although we take care to handle ingredients responsibly, all our products are made in environments and processed on equipment where peanuts and tree nuts are present, and there is a risk of cross-contamination. As a result, we cannot guarantee that any of our products are completely free from nuts. We recommend that you should always check the full ingredients and allergen information before purchasing. At Raw Halo, our “mylk” chocolate is our plant-based take on classic milk chocolate. Because our bars don’t contain any dairy milk, we use the word “mylk” to clearly show they are dairy-free.

Instead of dairy, we create our creamy texture using ingredients like creamed coconut and lucuma powder, which give our bars their smooth, naturally rich taste.

Yes - all Raw Halo packaging is designed to be either 100% recyclable or compostable. Our chocolate bars are wrapped in a paper outer sleeve and an aluminium inner foil, both of which are widely recyclable. Our 90g chocolate buttons come in home compostable packaging, making them easy to dispose of responsibly at home. For our chocolate covered nuts and raisins, and bulk products, the packaging is fully recyclable. We’re always working to minimise our environmental impact and make it as simple as possible for you to enjoy our products more sustainably.

All of our products have a minimum shelf life of 18 months from the date of production, so you can enjoy them at their best quality for longer. We recommend storing them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to help maintain freshness.

To keep it tasting its best, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and strong odours. The ideal temperature is between 15–20°C. Storing chocolate in the fridge is only recommended during extremely warm weather, so generally a cupboard or pantry is ideal.
